tatooine_doofus: (Luke: being sullen)
Luke was putting the last of his belongings into bags and boxes and trying not to be too upset about leaving Fandom forever tomorrow morning.

Outside his alcove, Artoo was selling copies of Fandom's Greatest Humiliations over the last two years for what he felt was a very reasonable price.

Whenever the melancholy threatened to overwhelm Luke, he'd look over at the little droid who'd begin to whistle "Doe, a Deer."

Artoo wasn't big on feeling sorry for yourself.

[OOC: Luke's farewell post! Come say goodbye :(]
tatooine_doofus: (Luke: weetiny thinking)
"And AND AND I flew off of a horse! And off of a table! And my bed! And we tried to get on the shuttle to give cookies to Yoda but this lady stopped us and now Yoda will be green forever! Oh! AND Gavin called me a girl."

Luke had been babbling into his comlink for ten straight minutes.

There was a long pause from the other end. "Okay, who is this really?" Leia asked.

"'s Luke," Luke replied. "Still."

There was another pause, then a prolonged laughing fit. "Is Artoo taking holos?" she asked.

"Yes," Luke said, "and now I have to go. I'm gonna call Daddy and Daddy's fancy in Connect-the-cat."

Leia was still laughing when Luke ended the call and called Anakin.
tatooine_doofus: (Luke: needs therapy)
After last night's...terrible, terrible experience in the common room, Luke was planning on a nice, relaxing night in his room.

Under his covers.

Whimpering.

Artoo, on the other hand, was at Luke's desk making many, many CDs of the performance.

He'd also propped the door open when Luke wasn't paying attention. Evil droid.

[OOC: ooooopen!]
tatooine_doofus: (Luke: in the clinic)
Luke tossed his bag onto his bed as Artoo made concerned little noises and circled around him.

"I'm fine," Luke told him for the hundredth time. "The med droid wouldn't have let me go otherwise." He smiled. "And neither would Jo or Leia. It's just a little scrape."

Artoo let out a low whistle that showed Luke how unconvinced he was about that.

Luke peeked into the mirror. "You can hardly tell," he said, running his finger down the new scars on his face.

Stupid wampa.

He flopped down onto the bed and started catching up on the holodramas Leia had loaned him. The door was open.

Blood Brothers - Color Green
tatooine_doofus: (Luke: broken)
After spending three days being electrocuted (annoying) and getting a wall dropped on him (more annoying), Luke had wanted nothing more than to go home.

So after whining at convincing Katara to let him out of the clinic, he was now sprawled carefully on his bed, trying not to lay on anything that was too bruised (lost cause) and trying to convince Artoo to show him a decent holodrama.

Artoo was insisting that "Tiger!" was a decent holodrama.

[OOC: Door is closed but knockable.]
tatooine_doofus: (Luke: emo lukey)
Luke hated everything.

It wasn't bad enough he'd spent the weekend as some kind of cackling villain, nooooo. He'd managed to kidnap someone who'd turned into his mother, gotten caught by two guys wearing tights and had woken up in jail.

...Where his father had bailed him out, then delivered a lecture loud enough to be heard all over the island as he was dragged back to the dorm by his ear.

He rubbed at it sulkily. "Like I would've kidnapped Padmé if I hadn't been insane," he whined to Artoo. "And why do I need to tell John to update his will?"

He buried his head under his pillow with a sigh, wondering if it was possible to never, ever come out again.

It would have been more effective if Artoo hadn't made sure the door was open.

Won't Give In - The Finn Brothers
tatooine_doofus: (Luke: lost)
"Come on, Artoo," Luke muttered over his shoulder as he made his way slowly up the walk towards his father's house. "Let's get this over with so I'm not yelled at all the way to Connecticut. Hell of an impression that'd make on Jo."

He took a deep breath, held it, then knocked quickly on the door. "No one's home!" he said, beginning to walk away again.
tatooine_doofus: (Luke: emo lukey)
It had been a long, long, long few days.

After getting Anakin back home--he'd absolutely refused to stay near "that cot or that damn Jedi one second longer"--Luke finally returned to his room, closed the door softly, then turned out all the lights, curled up in a tight little ball on his bed and burst into tears.

[OOC: Mostly establishy, and eventually a link drop.]

Bell, Book and Candle - Eddi Reader
tatooine_doofus: (Default)
Luke didn't have class today, so he saw absolutely no reason to leave his room.

This decision would've been a lot easier if Artoo hadn't chosen to spend the day there as well, singing "I Think I Love You."

"Yeah, yeah, you're terribly funny," Luke retorted, tossing a pillow at him and staring at the ceiling, still trying to get a handle on the people he'd seen over the weekend, and what he'd figured out about Jaina's version of Han.

He could use a distraction.
tatooine_doofus: (Luke: sunlight)
Luke was in his room with the door cracked open a bit as he worked up his courage to deliver the flowers he'd gotten for Jo to her.

Artoo was in the corner letting out squeaks of droid-y amusement as he replayed what he thought of as the greatest hits of Luke's weekend.

Luke wasn't as amused.

[OOC: Open!]

Baker Baker - Tori Amos
tatooine_doofus: (Luke: summertime)
Manly, the World's Most Awesome Stud (did you wake up with two hot chicks yesterday? Did you? No. He didn't think you had.), strutted down the hallway shirtless.

Not because he couldn't find his shirt, mind (although he couldn't), but because you should be so lucky to see his awesome body. Because it was awesome.

Pay no attention to the part where the jeans he was in seemed to be meant for someone almost a foot taller than he was. Manly certainly had.

[locked to someone in particular, then open, open, open.]
tatooine_doofus: (Luke: bright eyes)
Luke had decided that since he'd been in his room for a year, it was time to finally put up evidence that he lived there. Since he didn't have stuff, that took the form of photographs and holos of friends: he, Han and Leia right after the first Death Star, he and Wedge drunk later that same night, he, Rikku and Dawn looking giggly and high on sugar, he and Jaina, he and Rory, he and Tori...he and Z.

There weren't any photographs of him and his father (those were stuffed into a drawer at the moment) and he kept taking down Artoo's offering of a holo of him and Gavin believing they were Siegfried and Roy.

Corellian rock music was playing and the door was open. If he was caught staring off into space, well, he might've been reliving parts of last week's date with Jo.

[OOC: Open like a thing that is not closed.]
tatooine_doofus: (Luke: fixing things)
Luke was in his room, sleeves up--the gash on his arm was fading rapidly--surrounded by his tool kit and fiddling with Artoo. If it stopped him from dwelling on other things, well, bonus.

Artoo was not entirely thrilled being used as a distraction.

"Try it again, please," Luke said.

Artoo obligingly began to spit back the beginning of "I Know A Song That Gets On Everybody's Nerves."

"It needs to be higher pitched, louder," Luke said, "and more off-key."

The door was open if anyone was wondering what he was up to.
tatooine_doofus: (Luke: hand holding Leia blue)
After his workshop with Mr. Winchester, Luke came back to his room to convince Artoo that Leia had gone home.

Artoo, still in the closet, remained unconvinced.

"I wouldn't lie to you about this," Luke told the door, rolling his eyes. "She came, she saw him, she had ice cream, she went home. Really."

Artoo let out a mournful whistle.

"Fine," Luke said, flouncing back to his bed. "I'll be over here, practicing levitation with Yoda who's a turtle again, thank the Force."

Yoda? Not thrilled by getting spun through the air again, but he couldn't talk any more, so no one cared.

The door was cracked open.

[OOC: Conversation between Luke & Rikku is locked to them and the topic is NFB, thanks!]

I Want Candy - Bow Wow Wow
tatooine_doofus: (Luke: I get it now!)
After spending some time removing onion dip from Artoo’s internal systems—Force know how that had gotten there—Luke finally reached for his comlink and made a long-delayed transmission.

Leia answered immediately, and Luke chattered happily on about his workshops—and Tori— and some of the new students he’d met, including Bigg’s cousin—and Tori—and why getting bit by a gremlin had been a terrible mistake.

Leia laughed for a solid minute once Luke explained who Siegfried and Roy were. “It sounds like you’re settling right back in,” she said.

Luke nodded, then took a deep breath. “There’s something I need to tell you,” he said quietly. “I shouldn’t have taken this long to do it.”

“What happened to the shuttle?” Leia asked immediately, eyebrows flying up.

“Nothing,” Luke said, “but when I came back to Fandom, I wasn’t alone.”

Then he told her who’d been with him.

Leia’s momentary silence was the dangerous calm of the Tatooine desert before a wind storm kicked up.

He’s WHAT?! You WHAT?! You waited how long to tell me?!” she exploded, her voice loud enough to be heard down the hallway.

Artoo moaned and rolled into Luke’s closet.

Luke chewed on his lower lip. “I was wrong,” he said quietly.

“’Wrong’ doesn’t come close to describing this, Luke Skywalker,” Leia spat, her image going in and out of his view as she paced. “He stood there on the Death Star and did nothing as Ald…he put Han into…He’s alive?!

Her eyes finally focused on Luke’s and the anger in them made him flinch backwards. “I’m coming to see him,” she said, every inch the icy royal. “I’ll be there on Friday. We’ll talk about this more when I arrive.”

Her image shut off abruptly and Luke let out a deep sigh.

“I have a bad feeling about this,” he muttered.

From the closet, Artoo wibbled his agreement.

[OOC: Leia was loud, ya'll. Feel free to knock on the door.]
tatooine_doofus: (Luke: Jedi robe)
Artoo tootled quietly to himself as two figures followed along behind him and then stopped in front of the door to Anakin's office.

Luke crept up and turned to Rory. "Did you bring everything?" he whispered.
tatooine_doofus: (Luke: looks about 12 years old omg)
Luke, already dressed in his bright orange flight suit, was tossing more clothing into a soft bag in preparation for his trip back to Tatooine later that day.

Artoo was zipping around the room, bringing Luke various items as they caught his interest.

"No," Luke said, sighing, "I'm not going to need another coffee mug."

Artoo tootled.

"I don't care what you've heard about coffee's effectiveness in battle."

The door to the room was open.

[OOC: Come on in! Conversation with Rory NFB.]

History Repeating (featuring Miss Shirley Bassey)
tatooine_doofus: (Luke: golden)
Luke, completely unaware of Artoo's edits to his messages, stopped his intensive study of the wall by the foot of his bed, took a deep breath and then reached for his comm equipment.

He had some disturbing news to tell Leia. Not the part about her being his sister--that needed to be told in person.

There was no sign of Han here. And there was a project going on at home that was big enough Vader was required to check on its progress. That was never good.

He took another breath, then turned on his comlink.

A few minutes of conversation later and he was back to staring at the wall. "Why did Han have to be on Tatooine?" he whined to the room. "Stupid Jabba."
tatooine_doofus: (Luke: fixing things)
Luke was sitting on the floor surrounded by his tools.

Artoo was in front of him, warbling.

"This has nothing to do with what you did last night," Luke soothed him, reaching for a hydrospanner. "You just need a tune-up."

He frowned. "Though trying to zap Darth Vader isn't the smartest thing I've ever heard of doing."

Artoo tootled innocently.

"I don't believe you," Luke told him, then got back to work.

[OOC: Door's closed, post's open. The contents of the conversation with Aeryn are NFB.]
tatooine_doofus: (Default)
After a few hours poking around on the X-Wing with Artoo and a quick check to see if Leia had written--she had, and there was still no sign of Han--Luke flung himself onto his bed and began to practice with the Force.

Yoda was not excited to be one of the things chosen to be juggled.

Seeing Luke distracted, Artoo made his way stealthily towards the door.

"Don't even think about it," Luke said sternly. "Last time you got out, you came back covered in cake."

Artoo whistled innocently. "No," Luke replied.

Artoo made sulky noises and rolled back towards the corner.

[OOC: Door is closed, post is open! Oh, and contents of the conversation with Rory are NFB, please.]
