Leia's landing coordinates [early evening]

Luke scanned the sky nervously as he waited for Leia's ship to arrive.

He wasn't sure what her reaction was going to be when she saw him, but he wasn't ruling out getting hit.

And he wasn't entirely convinced he wouldn't deserve it.

The ship finally came into view, setting down carefully. After a moment of nothing happening, the landing ramp came down and Leia stepped out of the ship. "Do you have any idea how much trouble you're in?" she greeted him.

Luke took a few steps forward, smiling despite instinct telling him not to. "I've got a general idea," he said quietly. "It's good to see you, Leia."

"You too," Leia said carefully after a pause. "Before I do anything, is there anything else you may have neglected to tell me?"

"He's having a really bad week?" Luke tried. "And he looks 25?"

He braced for getting hit.

He didn't get hit. However, there was a loud "How exactly did this slip your memory?"

"It didn't!" Luke yelled back. "I just didn't want to get shouted at, Leia!"

He shrugged. "I figured you had enough on your plate already. I was trying to protect you from our family's insanity for a little longer."

"I appreciate the sentiment but I doubt it'd gotten any less insane," she said.

"He's good. And you're changing the subject."

Luke gave her an adorable smile. "I've gotten you a room at the hotel in town, like when you stayed for Parents Weekend. Artoo'd say hello, but he's currently hiding in the closet."

"I can't imagine why," she said dryly. "And that's changing the subject to a different subject."

"What subject would you prefer?" Luke asked with a put-upon sigh, "because I was kind of hoping the entire weekend wouldn't be 'yell at Luke' time."

"I've lowered my voice," Leia protested.
