Platypus Cabin [early evening]

Luke was sitting out on the steps leading to his cabin waiting for Gavin.

A night of drinking their way through the booze at Caritas sounded like way more fun than counting sand or trying to bribe their way into a Mos Eisley cantina, anyway.

"Hey, Luke," Gavin said, wandering up. "You look bored."

Luke grinned up at him. "Nah," he said, "just thinking about last night."

He was practically bouncing on the steps. "I kissed a girl and she didn't slap me," he said, blushing.

"Seriously." He looked around. "Was it...nice?"

"Better than flying," Luke said, beaming.

Apparently the gremlins were also in the mood for summer camp-- well, one at least-- because that is what ran out of the woods headed for Platypus cabin.

It was headed for the space under the cabin steps, but it froze when it saw Luke and Gavin.

"So...is she like, your girlfriend type thing person?" Gavin wasn't really familiar with the right term for. "Or just someone you can kiss without being smacked?"

"We might be in the girlfriend-y range..." Luke began, then his eyes went wide. "Sithspit. Gremlin."

"A what?" He looked around for some bug type thing since he hadn't seen a gremlin yet. "Where?"

The gremlin growled at Luke and Gavin trying to see how it could get around them. It decided to try and brazen it out.

With another growl, it ran at them.

"Not good, not good," Luke chanted, trying to stay very still.

And accidentally putting his leg directly in front of the hole under the stairs.

"Are we in danger?" Gavin asked, trying to copy Luke by staying still. He couldn't quite manage that because he had no idea what was going on. "We should run!"

The gremlin was flailing internally. They weren't moving! And now there was a leg blocking its way. There was only one option now.

The gremlin dove for Luke's leg and bit down hard.

The last thing Luke thought for a while was, "Well that didn't work."

Well, that wasn't good.

"Great," Gavin said, not knowing what to do now. "Um...scram!"

Yeah, effective.

Luke was still blocking the hole. The gremlin let go of his leg and hissed at Gavin.

"Wake up, Luke, or I will never stop calling you Wormie," he snapped, looking down.

When Luke didn't wake up, he looked back up at the gremlin. "Come back later!"

This was accompanied by shoo'ing hand motions. Very masculine, you know.

When Gavin's hand got too close for the gremlin's comfort, it jumped forward at bit it too.

It just wanted to go in the hole under the steps! Why were they making it so hard?

Gavin's last thought was that he was going to KILL Luke for this before he crumpled beside Luke.

And Gavin bumped Luke just enough that he shifted and the gremlin could worm his way under the cabin.

Luke opened his eyes and looked around. "Roy?" he said, poking Gavin, "Roy, ve vill be late for the show! Vere ist the tiger?"

Artoo came rolling out of the alcove, poor thing. "Come!" Siegfried!Luke demanded.
