Room 317 [after classes]

After an interesting conversation with his father early in the morning, Luke had gone for a long run.

And then an even longer session alone with the punching bag.

And then he'd tried some meditation.

Now? He'd spread parts to a small droid out all over the floor, back carefully turned away from the half of the room that was supposed to have a Z in it, and fiddled around with electronics.

Loud Corellian rock was blaring from his stereo and out through the open door.

If you asked him? He was fine.

"But I bet it's just the kind of narcotics that send you right to sleep. Not the kind with the interesting hallucinations."

"Like sleeping pills," Luke said, "Not like glitterstim."

His eyes went wide. "Which I would never use! I don't want to get stuck in carbonite and be indebted to a Hutt."

Luke failed at pretending to know about drugs.

Michael blinked, then eyed him.

"Okay... that sounds like a story. Someone you know?"

Luke nodded. "But he was running drugs, not using them."

Pause.

"I don't suppose that makes it better."

"At least he wasn't hallucinating when he got indebted... what's a Hutt, anyway?"

"The galaxy's largest slugs," Luke replied,making an "eww" face.

"...slugs. Like, with the slime?"

His expression matched Luke's.
