Luke was putting the last of his belongings into bags and boxes and trying not to be too upset about leaving Fandom forever tomorrow morning.

Outside his alcove, Artoo was selling copies of Fandom's Greatest Humiliations over the last two years for what he felt was a very reasonable price.

Whenever the melancholy threatened to overwhelm Luke, he'd look over at the little droid who'd begin to whistle "Doe, a Deer."

Artoo wasn't big on feeling sorry for yourself.

Lana poked her head in. "Hey. I can't believe you're leaving."

"I still can't believe you got me to sing with you," John said, looking over Luke's bags and hoping he'd be seeing the Jedi again.

Sokka poked his head in the alcove. "You're leaving??? You CAN'T be leaving!!! We NEED you here!!!"


...Then he turned to Luke. "It won't be the same without you."

"You realize this means now I'm going to be spending a lot of time sending transmissions to two of you, right?" Jaina greeted him.

It was a big cabin, and easy to miss seeing any of the other graduates, but Anders just happened to have wandered the wrong way through the living room today. Packing was a little hard to miss, though, especially with an astromech vendor whistling outside an alcove, so he stopped outside.

"You can't leave," he announced with the futilely stubborn look he'd honed over the past couple of years of saying goodbye to people. "What if we need to break into another high-security building?"

On her way outside, Adah eyed Artoo a moment and shook her head, before her shoulder rested on the frame of the alcove for a moment. She remembered Luke mentioning leaving last week; passing by, she couldn't help figure that her timing on catching him as he packed seemed a pretty good sign that she should stop after all. She shifted her notebook, but then decided to speak. "Good luck," she said, and then recited, "Luck is not chance, it's toil; fortune's expensive smile is earned." and finished with a light smile his way.

Meg gave Artoo a little wave when she came into the alcove before looking down at Luke's packed bags and frowning. "Well, this sucks."

Okay, so she bought a copy from Artoo -- totally had to. To remember Luke by. And possibly knelt down to ask whether or not he'd been filming when Manly Luke had, uh, paid Dawn and her to ... he hadn't, right?

Rikku leaned against the frame of his alcove, arms folded and trying to not sniffle. "You can't go. You're leaving? Already? But ..."

Sam peered into Luke's alcove, frowning at the packing process going on. "You're really leaving already?"

Behind his back, he held out money for Artoo. Getting a copy of what he had would be a way to remember Luke, of course.

She was also wondering if she could convince Artoo to just give her a copy. Or at least a discount.

"If I asked you to take me with you, what would you say?" Gavin asked, stopping in Luke's alcove.

Luke looked up from his packing. "Yeah," he said. "It's time. It sucks, but it's time."

"Artoo's selling the video cheap," Luke said, rolling his eyes. "I'm afraid to ask what he's going to be using the money for."

"I'd leave Artoo here," he replied, ignoring Artoo's squawk, "but I need him to help pilot my ship."

Lana nodded. "I'm sorry to see you go."

"Just don't get us mixed up," Luke said, trying to keep his voice light. "I'm the better looking one."

"I'm sure you'll find someone," Luke said, eyes shining. "That was more fun than I was supposed to have breaking and entering, I think."

Luke smiled. "My old teacher used to say that there was no such thing as luck. I like your version better."

Jaina crossed her fingers. "So where are you off to?"

"It really does," Luke agreed with a tight smile. "Stupid destiny."

"I know," Luke practically wailed, "but Leia needs my help."

Artoo was whistling nonchalantly. Probably not a good sign.

Artoo very happily made the transaction. Mmm. Commerce.

"I'm really leaving," Luke said, looking unhappy.

"I am," Luke said, pouting. "I'm never going to find a better roommate!"

Luke was quiet for a long moment. "I'd be really tempted," he admitted.

"I'm sorry to be going," Luke admitted. His eyes twinkled just a little. "I'd tell Han hello for you, but I have a different Han."
