The Planet Stewjon [Thursday, Fandom time]

The Holocron he'd picked up on Dathomir had been full of potentially useful information about Jedi training, which was why (between trips to Fandom) Luke had been away from Coruscant for almost a year tracking down leads.

This one, he decided as he looked around the grasslands of the planet Stewjon was interesting for more personal reasons, and even if no one here was exactly open for talking about Obi-Wan Kenobi, it was fascinating to see where he'd been born.

Yes, Luke was being a tourist. Shhh.

"No, I think I'm good," Luke said, chuckling. "I've worn Stormtrooper armor. It didn't really suit me."

"You're far too dashing to need anything like that," she giggled. "So ... yeah. Repair shop. You'll be in for Homecoming, right?"

And then, the bit of news that should have come earlier had she been thinking about it.

"Oh my gosh, your son works here! Not your son because you'd better not have gotten any kids and not told me about them, but the one that's here! Ben! I hugged him and I think he thinks I'm crazy but that's okay."

"I wouldn't dream of missing Homecoming," Luke assured her, "and I haven't had time to date, let alone have a son. You? Any random children I need to be warned about?"

"Do you know who his mom is?" she asked. "Oh, no, is that a really weird question? I'd be so nosy but I'd be curious, too, and then I might wreck everything by asking too many questions."

She leaned against the counter with a grin. "No kids, thank goodness," she said. "Reno ended up with a duck somehow? It was living in his bathroom and watching people pee."

"Everyone needs a hobby?" Luke finally offered. "And I have some ideas about who Ben's mother might be, but nothing solid. If I'm right, I haven't met her yet anyway."

"So ... not Dawn, then," Rikku asked, as innocently as possible.

Mostly to see if she could freak out Luke, yes.

Luke sputtered. "No, I don't think so," he said finally. "She doesn't have red hair, either."

"No?" Rikku asked. "Why, who has red hair?"

Besides Reno, but she really didn't think Reno was going to be Luke's babymomma. Call it a hunch.

"Ben," Luke replied, laughing. "I don't think it came from my side of the family."

"My people are blonde," she laughed, "so I guess I'm safely off the hook, too."

No matter what a particularly insane version of Rikku might have said, while faking a pregnancy and out of her mind.

"Unless Ben is really your and Reno's son and I'm raising him in secret in a future where I don't know how I would have met you," Luke mused.

Mmm, logic. Special Skywalker logic.

Being Rikku, she actually considered that.

"Are his eyes the same color?" she asked.

"I think they're blue," Luke offered, "so...yes."

"Not mine," she said with a sigh of relief. "Any kid of mine is gonna have one green eye, and the other one won't match."

Which was a nice little cheat sheet for when AU kids showed up, yes.
