Room 317 [late afternoon]

Luke was in his room, sleeves up--the gash on his arm was fading rapidly--surrounded by his tool kit and fiddling with Artoo. If it stopped him from dwelling on other things, well, bonus.

Artoo was not entirely thrilled being used as a distraction.

"Try it again, please," Luke said.

Artoo obligingly began to spit back the beginning of "I Know A Song That Gets On Everybody's Nerves."

"It needs to be higher pitched, louder," Luke said, "and more off-key."

The door was open if anyone was wondering what he was up to.

"It is," Tori admitted, smiling. "But they're quick learners, so it's pretty easy teaching them. Really? Wow."

"Tatooine was very, very tiny," Luke said. "It wasn't like the schools were jammed. I still have days where I'm not used to this many people around."

"I'm used to it, I tend to forget that other people might not be," Tori admitted, grinning sheepishly.

"Don't worry about it," Luke said, smiling. "It's gotten a lot better. I don't hide out in my room nearly as much."

"I'm glad to hear that," Tori grinned. "If you did, I think I'd have to come and drag you out," she winked.
