Room 317 [evening]

Luke had decided that since he'd been in his room for a year, it was time to finally put up evidence that he lived there. Since he didn't have stuff, that took the form of photographs and holos of friends: he, Han and Leia right after the first Death Star, he and Wedge drunk later that same night, he, Rikku and Dawn looking giggly and high on sugar, he and Jaina, he and Rory, he and Tori...he and Z.

There weren't any photographs of him and his father (those were stuffed into a drawer at the moment) and he kept taking down Artoo's offering of a holo of him and Gavin believing they were Siegfried and Roy.

Corellian rock music was playing and the door was open. If he was caught staring off into space, well, he might've been reliving parts of last week's date with Jo.

"Hey, that sounds awesome," Z said as she entered the room. "Whatcha listenin' to?"

"A new band out of Corellia," Luke said, "or classic rock, if you ask Jaina, I suppose. They're good, aren't they?"

"Yeah, they sound really good. Think we could force our technology to interface long enough to get it on my mp3 player?" Then Z saw the pictures. "Oh look! It's me!" Yes, she was a giant dork.

"It's you!" Luke said, beaming back at her. "I decided it should look like someone lives here. And it shouldn't be a problem to transfer the songs over. I'll tweak it as soon as I'm done here." He smacked at Artoo's dome. "I'm not putting that picture of Gavin and I up. Stop trying."

"Do it!" Z said, bouncing. "Do it! Artoo, if he won't do it, I will!" Then she looked around her fairly bare half of the room. "I don't have any pictures. Maybe I should get some posters or something."

"Posters are good," Luke said, nodding. "Movies, maybe? Just not the Space Battles prequels." He made a face. "The hair? No."

Cassandra had been spending most of her evenings exploring Fandom. Knowing where things were could be important if something... bad happened. Old habits and all that.

This evening, though, she wandered the dorm halls. She knew the second floor pretty well already, so the third floor it was. Open doors with music coming from them were intriguing, so she ghosted down the hallway curiously and stuck her head in.

"Hello," Luke said, smiling politely. Artoo, over in the corner, tooted a greeting as well.

"Uh... hi," she offered a little wave. She looked around the room curiously, having forgotten to introduce herself.

"Come in," Luke said. "You're new, right? I'm Luke Skywalker, and this is my droid R2-D2."

Artoo made an electronic raspberry noise. He was his own droid, thank you very much.

"Oh, um... I'm Cassandra." She eyed Artoo curiously. Like she'd never seen a droid before. Well, that or the only ones she'd seen were loaded with weapons and tried to assassinate people.

Z happened to turn away from her computer about then and said, "Oh, hey. I'm Z. Luke you seem to have met."

Cassandra smiled a tentative smile and waved, "I'm Cassandra."

"Nice to meet you, Cassandra. Are you new, or one of those people who've been here forever and I just haven't managed to meet them yet?" Z asked her.

"New. I'm downstairs." She waved vaguely in the direction of the floor.

Dawn was bored and roaming around the third floor. Naturally this would end well. "Hi. Entertain me with stories of great daring. Or chocolate."

"How about stories of daring pieces of chocolate?" Luke asked, grinning over at her.

"Are there capes?"

"How else would we know that they are heroes?" Luke said, sitting down on his bed with a small bounce.

Dawn plopped down on the bed as well. "They get this look...like they're going to jump into something stupid."

Jaina had been on her way back to her room when she heard the music, which she recognized. She poked her head in and said, "Somehow I didn't expect to hear this kind of music here."

Luke grinned at her. "It's new! Well, at least for me. Your father sent it a while back."

"I've heard this a few times," Jaina said, listening. "I had no idea you listened to it."

Luke winced. "Am I totally no fun in a few years?"

"I didn't say that," she said. Though honestly there was a while there where he didn't seem to have any fun at all. She supposed Mara deserved some credit for that change. "I just know you a little differently than a student who listens to the same sort of music I would."
