Room 317 [evening]

Luke had decided that since he'd been in his room for a year, it was time to finally put up evidence that he lived there. Since he didn't have stuff, that took the form of photographs and holos of friends: he, Han and Leia right after the first Death Star, he and Wedge drunk later that same night, he, Rikku and Dawn looking giggly and high on sugar, he and Jaina, he and Rory, he and Tori...he and Z.

There weren't any photographs of him and his father (those were stuffed into a drawer at the moment) and he kept taking down Artoo's offering of a holo of him and Gavin believing they were Siegfried and Roy.

Corellian rock music was playing and the door was open. If he was caught staring off into space, well, he might've been reliving parts of last week's date with Jo.

"It's you!" Luke said, beaming back at her. "I decided it should look like someone lives here. And it shouldn't be a problem to transfer the songs over. I'll tweak it as soon as I'm done here." He smacked at Artoo's dome. "I'm not putting that picture of Gavin and I up. Stop trying."

"Do it!" Z said, bouncing. "Do it! Artoo, if he won't do it, I will!" Then she looked around her fairly bare half of the room. "I don't have any pictures. Maybe I should get some posters or something."

"Posters are good," Luke said, nodding. "Movies, maybe? Just not the Space Battles prequels." He made a face. "The hair? No."

"Ew, no," Z agreed. "Those were horrible. No, good movies. I just have to figure out which ones are out now so I don't wind up spoiling people for something that's going to happen in ten years."

"I'm not going to be much help there," Luke said with a smile. "If you want a poster of Face Loran," he rolled his eyes, "like every other girl I grew up with, I'm not going to help you."

"I'd be sadder about that if I knew who Face Loran was, I'm sure," Z said. "Did his parents really name him Face? That's so sad. No, I'm thinking Orlando Bloom, right above the bed."

"He was called the Face because he was so dreamy," Luke said, the last few words pitched in a girlish squeal.

Artoo added little "eeeeeee" sound effects. "I didn't understand the appeal."

Z rolled her eyes. "That's kind of lame. They couldn't come up with a better nickname for him? Like Hotpants or something? And what happens when he gets wrinkles? Or decides to grow a beard? Or gets a bigass scar?"

"The terrible actor, maybe? Though he's better than the other guy. They made Imperial propaganda pieces." Luke snorted. "I'm sure Loran had a first name. I just never paid enough attention to know it."

"Oh, ew, propaganda films? Seriously?" Z asked. "I thought those went out with the Nazis." Oh wait...

Luke made a face. "Yeah. I'll bring one back sometime. They're hysterical now."

"We can make fun of it and throw popcorn at the screen," Z said. "It'll be like a bonding thing." Then she grinned mischievously. "Then I'll fall totally in love with this Face character and make you get me a poster."

"Something to look forward to," Luke deadpanned. "I'll just have to steal one of Leia's. I'm sure she has one stashed somewhere and will be too embarrassed to say that it's gone."

"Yay!" Z said. "How is your sister, by the way?"

"She hung up on me the last time we talked," Luke admitted, "but I'm going to try again this weekend. August isn't great for either of us."

"Ouch," Z said. "Harsh. What's wrong with August?"

"She watched her planet get blown up," Luke said quietly, "which makes me losing my guardians, Ben, and Biggs look like absolutely nothing to whine about."

"Yeah, but...she's your sister. You guys shouldn't take it out on each other. You're lucky to have each other," Z said slowly.
