Luke was in his room with the door cracked open a bit as he worked up his courage to deliver the flowers he'd gotten for Jo to her.

Artoo was in the corner letting out squeaks of droid-y amusement as he replayed what he thought of as the greatest hits of Luke's weekend.

Luke wasn't as amused.

Trying no to start laughing again, Jo came over to Luke. "It would indeed."

Luke reached out and let one of his fingers trail across the back of her hand. "Would you maybe want to go to the dance with me?"

"Yeah, I would," Jo replied, and grinned. "You don't even have to pay me."

Luke wrinkled his nose up, then laughed. "Funny."

"It could be worse," Jo said. "At least there isn't any footage of you as a pimp."

She kind of hoped there was.

Over in the corner, Artoo trilled happily.

He could've been saying hello.

He wasn't.

Jo looked over at Artoo then back at Luke. "I take it back, it couldn't be worse."

Luke sighed and leaned his head into her stomach. "Stupid Fandom," he whined.

Jo smiled and ran her fingers through his hair. "One day you'll look back on this and laugh," she said. "Probably take a few years, but one day."

Luke made a very happy nose as she did that and moved his hands around her waist.

"By then, Artoo will have already made millions on the footage."

"I'm sure he'll cut you in on a share," Jo said reassuringly.

"That's very reassuring," Luke said with a snicker. "So how was your weekend?"

"I thought Meg was my twin and worried we were employed by a perverted old man."

"Eww," Luke said, wrinkling his nose and scooting over so there was room for Jo to sit next to him on the bed. "Good thing you didn't meet the guy who runs the bar, I guess."

Jo grimaced and sat down. "Very good thing."

"Because if you're going to beat someone up for being an idiot, I kind of want to be there to watch," Luke said, reaching for her hand.

Jo curled her fingers through his. "I'd make sure you got first row seats."

"I'd share my snacks with you after you were finished," Luke promised. "Because I'm a nice guy like that."

"I know I can't think of anything," Luke said.

Sadly, he was telling the truth.

Luke nudged his nose against hers. "I can do that," he said.

Jo smiled and kissed him. "Good."
