After last night's...terrible, terrible experience in the common room, Luke was planning on a nice, relaxing night in his room.

Under his covers.

Whimpering.

Artoo, on the other hand, was at Luke's desk making many, many CDs of the performance.

He'd also propped the door open when Luke wasn't paying attention. Evil droid.

Karal didn't mind if Luke was under the covers whimpering. Well, he did, because it was really not good, but right now he had more pressing things to consider.

Like his girlfriend's dignity. And two of his best friends' dignity, as well, but it was for Evey he was here.

And it was Artoo he wanted to see. "I need to speak with you, please," he said, pointing at Artoo and feeling very foolish doing so. "It's important."

Artoo held up a CD from the stack on the desk. His first customer! How exciting!

Karal stared. "Oh, please tell me those are not from last night," he said hopelessly, because of course they would be.

Artoo burbled, sounding confused. Karal didn't want one?

"Forgive me, that was rude." He rubbed his forehead. "What are you going to do with them?"

Artoo made a credible impression of a register's bell.

Karal facepalmed. Mercantile mechanical creature. Of course. "Do you think it would be possible for you to sell me all of them?" he asked. "Perhaps allow me to purchase sole rights to the, umm, video?"

Artoo processed the request, then chirped out a negative. There were far too many other people who would appreciate seeing this!

Karal huffed. "Are you sure? I can offer a great deal in exchange. Gold and jewels, if you want them."

Artoo paused, then carefully slid all of the CDs out of Karal's reach, just in case, and repeated his blatting negative.

"I would not steal them." He looked offended. "And if you are only selling them to make money, then why do you care who buys them? If you sell them all to me, it would save you a great deal of time.""

But Karal could be depriving others of the joy of ownership! And it wasn't like Artoo had anything better to be doing. Artoo put the CDs safely in a compartment and rolled away from Karal. No, he would be keeping them. Thanks, though!

Karal glared at him, eyeing the desk chair, highly unfamiliar thoughts tempting him, and then the lump on the bed. "Fine. You are the most unreasonable mechanical creature I have ever met," he said, eyes narrowed. "And this is not over."

Jo totally wasn't singing any songs about girlfriends or buttons when she knocked on Luke's door.

"Not helping," a pile of blankets didn't whine.

Jo switched to humming. Innocently. Really.

"I'm moving to Dagobah," the pile grumbled.

"It can't be that bad," Jo said, sitting next to the pile.

"It was Jaina and Evey," he wailed. "Any other girls would've been fine." A pair of bright blue eyes peeked out from under his pillow. "You and Meg, maybe."

"Did you hear about Criminal Justice class then?" Jo asked, patting him sympathetically.

"Nooo," Luke said, pulling his head out from under the pillow. "What happened?"

"We had to pair up and practice frisking."
