Luke was in his room with the door cracked open a bit as he worked up his courage to deliver the flowers he'd gotten for Jo to her.

Artoo was in the corner letting out squeaks of droid-y amusement as he replayed what he thought of as the greatest hits of Luke's weekend.

Luke wasn't as amused.

Jo smiled back. "Hey Luke."

"It turns out that I'm kind of a giant tool when I can't remember who I am," Luke said, cheeks turning red.

"And a pimp too," Jo added. "Least that's what the radio said."

Luke turned scarlet to his hairline. "That was initially," he muttered. "Then Dawn and Rikku decided I looked like the kind of guy who would pay for sex." He coughed. "And hadn't. Dawn threatened me with a frying pan."

Jo couldn't help it. She burst out laughing.

Luke gave her a tiny smile. "So you're not mad?"

"Well, it's not like you actually had sex with them," Jo pointed out. "Right?"

"Not even a kiss," Luke told her. "I kind of failed at hooker."

"Which is kind of reassuring from where I stand," Jo replied, grinning.

"Would where you're standing care to come a little closer to where I'm sitting?" Luke asked.

Complete failure at talking to girls was also genetic.

Trying no to start laughing again, Jo came over to Luke. "It would indeed."

Luke reached out and let one of his fingers trail across the back of her hand. "Would you maybe want to go to the dance with me?"

"Yeah, I would," Jo replied, and grinned. "You don't even have to pay me."

Luke wrinkled his nose up, then laughed. "Funny."

"It could be worse," Jo said. "At least there isn't any footage of you as a pimp."

She kind of hoped there was.

Over in the corner, Artoo trilled happily.

He could've been saying hello.

He wasn't.

Jo looked over at Artoo then back at Luke. "I take it back, it couldn't be worse."

Luke sighed and leaned his head into her stomach. "Stupid Fandom," he whined.

Jo smiled and ran her fingers through his hair. "One day you'll look back on this and laugh," she said. "Probably take a few years, but one day."

Luke made a very happy nose as she did that and moved his hands around her waist.

"By then, Artoo will have already made millions on the footage."

"I'm sure he'll cut you in on a share," Jo said reassuringly.

"That's very reassuring," Luke said with a snicker. "So how was your weekend?"

"I thought Meg was my twin and worried we were employed by a perverted old man."

"Eww," Luke said, wrinkling his nose and scooting over so there was room for Jo to sit next to him on the bed. "Good thing you didn't meet the guy who runs the bar, I guess."

Jo grimaced and sat down. "Very good thing."
